Full Bio

Afton Rorvik has broad editorial experience that includes copyediting, substantive editing, and writing cover copy. She has edited nonfiction products for a variety of publishers within the Christian publishing industry, working with both well-known and first-time Christian authors of adult nonfiction and children’s fiction to shape their words into a published product.

While working for Wheaton Bible Church, Afton developed ideas, contacted writers, conducted interviews, edited stories, wrote stories, and worked with a graphic designer to produce the full-color, quarterly magazine, LIFE at Wheaton Bible Church.  And while working for eChristian, she coordinated the independent publishing process of 50+ books in both print and digital versions.

Afton’s published profiles and articles have appeared in Discipleship Journal, Guideposts, LIFE at Wheaton Bible Church, NABtoday, and Wheaton, the alumni magazine of Wheaton College. She has also written discussion questions, Bible study questions, devotionals, and footnotes for the David Jeremiah Study Bible.

Storm Sisters: Friends through All Seasons (Worthy Publishing) debuted in September 2014.

Afton is a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in literature as well as a teaching certificate in secondary education. She is also a member of the Redbud Writers Guild. She and her husband John live in Wheaton, Illinois. They are the parents of two adult children.
